- €15 million set aside for the energy transition
- Young people are consulted about the energy transition
- Clear rules to stimulate sustainable adjustments in homes
- More solar energy and fewer rules for solar panels
- Roofs have been made explicitly for plants, energy, water storage or something fun like a terrace!

Keep the economy moving
- Plans for 2,500 additional student homes
- Agreements on percentages of shared student housing

Bustling city
- Bars and restaurants received more space for larger terraces.
- Pop music received more funding and we are significantly improving night culture.
- We expanded nightlife with wider opening hours for shops, entertainment venues, and larger terraces.
- Events in Delft receive more subsidy and are advertised more actively.
- We focus on new construction for a multifunctional Theater de Veste.

Liveliness
- Stores are open until 10 p.m. on Sundays too
- More room for terraces, music, student associations and events during corona to financially support entrepreneurs

Accessible city
- Station Delft Campus becomes accessible by bus.
- Station Delft Campus becomes accessible by bus, additionally we investigate if tram line 1 can be extended to station Delft Campus.
- TU Delft parking facilities are used as P+R locations for the city.
- Tram line 19 is being extended so it will also drive past the TU Delft Campus.
- East-West connections with public transport are significantly improved.
- During roadworks, we involve Delft residents more actively and extensively in the redesign.
A green future
- Obtained 3.5 million euros extra from the National Government for making houses more sustainable.
- Events get a sustainability push from the municipality.
- We design the low-traffic city center together with residents and entrepreneurs.
- The Beatrixlaan and Gasthuisplaats both become beautiful large city parks.
- The municipality of Delft sets a good example and saves energy itself too.
- The Yes, Yes-stickers were introduced to combat unnecessary advertising waste.
A fitter Delft
- A new vision on sport in Delft is coming. Sports in public spaces is included in this.
- Skatepark de Middenberm has been refurbished.
- More water tap points are coming, especially at playgrounds
Inclusive and connected city
- Students can apply for financial compensation for high energy costs.
- Study allowance for students with a medical disability has been increased.
- The municipality of Delft apologized for the role in slavery. Additionally, the colonial past is now visible in the city with a publication and inclusion in education.
- Loneliness among students receives attention in municipal policy.
- The community contacts are expanded further. This way we make better connections in the neighborhoods.
- Menstrual products are offered at more places and the municipality sets a good example in this.
- The cost-sharing standard has been relaxed. This way people on welfare have more to spend if they live together.
- MBO students can participate in the OWee and get to know Delft optimally
We make Delft Safer
- BOAs (community service officers) are deployed smarter and more effectively in cooperation with the police.
- The municipality of Delft joined the Public Spaces initiative: we stand for an internet based on public values like privacy, autonomy, and transparency.
- Delft only uses safe cameras and no controversial Chinese cameras.
- Delft has more firework-free zones.
Successes of the alderman
In recent years, our alderman Maaike Zwart achieved a lot with and for the city. Below is an overview of successes that became possible because of her. We are super proud of that!Sustainability
- Big steps in the energy transition, for example with the construction of the heating network for 15,000 homes on Delft geothermal heat, the Insulation Plan, the Roadmap Climate Neutral, the homeowners’ Associations (VvE) approach ad 015 Duurzaam.
- Concrete results achieved in the circular economy with the Circle Lab, Decluttering days, the free furniture maker, competitions and the circular craft network WINNEN!
- Energy helpers of 015Duurzaam have helped 3,500 households.
- Opened a counter for Homeowners’ Associations (VvE’s) to help with sustainability.
Economy
- The economy of Delft is running great with a strong growth in the number of jobs, more starting companies at YES!Delft than ever and the opening of new business buildings like NEXT 2, Haskoning, House of Quantum & new headquarters of DSM-Firmenich.
- The vacancy rate for business space in Delft is very low! There is a great effort for affordable space for example for bicycle repairers, bakers and painters.
- Cooperation is taking shape for the Innovation District Delft.
- The Delft economy becomes sustainable with the Dellufs bakkie and D’serve.
- Actions and collaborations in the city to let both residents and entrepreneurs buy locally.

- First steps in the development of Schieoevers have been taken with the adoption of the zoning plan Schieoevers North, the Vision station area Delft Campus, the construction start for the new building of Laga and the opening of Stationshuis.
- More and more Delft residents participate through, the accessible help you can get at WijWestdichtbij, the vouchers from Haaglanden Leert Door and the beautiful results of our partners in the city .
- Freed up more money for events and a subsidy for events in the neighborhoods.
