Darius Roitman

My name is Darius, I am 23 years old and I have been living in Delft with great pleasure for the past five years. During that time, I have come to know the city from many different sides and have really grown to appreciate Delft as a lively city full of energy.

After completing my bachelor’s degree in Architecture at TU Delft, I started the master’s programme in Construction Management. From that background, I have become increasingly interested in how we can improve housing in Delft. To me, that is not only about having enough affordable homes, but also about creating neighbourhoods where people truly feel at home.

I carry that perspective on the city with me outside my studies as well. I enjoy photography, which makes me notice the beauty of Delft even more, and I experience the city in a similar way while running through its streets and parks. That is also why I believe Delft should not only be well built, but also be a pleasant city to live in.

Within STIP, I serve as Campaign Leader and am responsible for the strategy and organisation of the campaign towards the municipal elections. In that role, I speak to many different people and discover many new parts of the city. Time and again, I see the energy that Delft has, and that motivates me to work towards a city that remains liveable, vibrant and accessible for everyone.
